DUALITY IN GENDER

for some time now, i've been seeing the rift between men and women get bigger and, somehow, deeper -  we pretend as if one could exist without the other. i don't care what that makes you feel; we're all entitled to an opinion, even if its a wrong one. if you've ever been in a relationship long enough, i'm sure you'd agree that your significant other is a reflection of who you are.  if you disagree, just give it some thought.  in my case, my girlfriend is quirky and energetic. those of you who know me best - i'm not the most lively guy around. i'm, usually, quiet and calm. the best way to set me off is to confuse marvel comics with detective comics. fight me.  i've heard people in the streets, on tv - all over the place, talking about how they want someone of a certain caliber. for instance, a man with no prospects will go on about a woman he wants to cater to his every need. like, bro - what are you bringing to the table? i'm not s...

FACELESS

there's something strange about first person perspective, me thinks - you're given your own account in this tragic comedy of life to experience it from your own angle. i mean, i just think its tragic because humans are souls trapped in decaying vessels trapped in restless countries trapped in corrupt governance trapped in a confracting world and all we know before we turn 18 is how to solve for x. but i digress. wherever you go, there's division over this issue and the next. it'd be fine if we were more willing to take in knowledge and less willing to sputter our opinions. here, you have some one who doesn't know anything about you or what you're going through and they have the stones to tell you how to live your life... and they haven't even seen their own face. sure, they may have seen a reflection of it but you can't say you've seen the pyramid of giza because you watched that transformers movie. how can we, as a people, be so judgmental i...

BIENVENUE

i'm kago modise - friendly neighbourhood gamer, resident introvert and exiting undergraduate. i've been a writer for as long as i can remember and people have been on my case about starting my own blog. of course, i had my reservations since i was so critical of my work and i lack the discipline to see any of them through to completion but here i am -  taking the proverbial leap of faith. let's just jump into it, right? i can't deal with small talk and i think the blog equivalent of that is listing my life in a feature like you actually care when i know you don't. i wake up every day thinking existentially, making it to the next day really is a blessing because that's one more night that i didn't die in my sleep. it's hearing about things like that happening to other people that make me appreciate how fickle life is - one minute you're alive and the next, you're not. at times, i think life is just a sick joke. like the great meeseeks says:...
