DUALITY IN GENDER

for some time now, i've been seeing the rift between men and women get bigger and, somehow, deeper -  we pretend as if one could exist without the other. i don't care what that makes you feel; we're all entitled to an opinion, even if its a wrong one. if you've ever been in a relationship long enough, i'm sure you'd agree that your significant other is a reflection of who you are.

if you disagree, just give it some thought.

in my case, my girlfriend is quirky and energetic. those of you who know me best - i'm not the most lively guy around. i'm, usually, quiet and calm. the best way to set me off is to confuse marvel comics with detective comics. fight me.

i've heard people in the streets, on tv - all over the place, talking about how they want someone of a certain caliber. for instance, a man with no prospects will go on about a woman he wants to cater to his every need. like, bro - what are you bringing to the table? i'm not saying your woman shouldn't treat you; it's nice to be taken of, you know? but do you just want someone to basically babysit you while you lag behind? have some initiative and do some pushups or something.

i don't know if women are really against submitting to a man so much as submitting to an idiot. i think most men are told power is a given for them without learning to embrace responsibility. it's not enough to just sit on the throne and wear the crown; you have to lead

sucks to be you though; because even though she's there with you physically, she's somewhere mentally - with someone she thinks can treat her the way she wants. by being a low frequency man, you expose her to men of higher frequencies. you can have a woman's body but if you don't have her mind and heart, she's already gone and you just haven't caught on yet.

some women are just as wild; one will say they want a man their age with the resources and finances of a man further ahead in life. how is a man in his early 20s meant to provide like a man in his 40s? excuse me, ma'am; do you have a car? do you have a house? how are you going to expect something from someone when you can't deliver it yourself? it's like a liar who wants honesty from other people.

expecting a man to have money simply because he's a man is toxic thinking. is that to say women aren't meant to have money? is that to say men without money aren't real men? should women, by virtue of that, inherently be expected to cook every day? if we teach like this, we'll eventually have men who are poorly equipped, emotionally, pursuing women with the idea that there is a number or material object that can buy them.

know your worth. materialism is an appearance and appearance is an illusion. nothing with being with someone who can do it all but is that all? think carefully about what you want.

but i digress...

a man with the potential of a kingdom most likely isn't looking to hold a woman's hand who's still thinking like a little girl. you're just a chapter in the book of his life. the moment he finds a woman who speaks to the god in him; one who makes him wants to walk the path of improvement, he'll politely excuse the clutter to make room.

the ones who give will give together and build. the rest will see for themselves.

UNGUARDED.

so, here's my thing - depression is not easy to beat but when you beat it, you beat the daylights out of it. the major problem isn't winning the war but staying victorious. i remember conquering the mindless chatter of my lower self years before and the struggle to even let my feet touch the floor. it didn't take long but i was right back in it. you can feel the emptiness of a dark time in your life and finally be okay with it but the question is: what are you filling that emptiness with?  i only had more emptiness; pay attention to the tense - "had". things are different now. i'm different now.

''It's less about the damage done...''

This is my final addition to this level of the Mind Palace; at least on this particular... topic. What started as a university project turned into an emotionally explosive manner of introspection - a monument to the gravity of my suffering. I've played the injured for far too long, immersing myself in the misery and struggling to digest the ''red pill'' realities of what's going on but, you know what, in that immersion I've come to many, many, many realizations. Being broken up with was hard, still is - especially when I think about the illusory half-truths I fell for. When I thought I was setting the relationship up for the next phase of its development, I was actually leaving myself unprepared for its last phase. FOUR MONTHS LATER . Let me address the person who inspired this perspective directly -  I've thought carefully and intently on every word you're reading. You've taught me more in the last two weeks than th...

'CAUSE THIS IS WHAT I LIVE FOR.

you see the strange thing with tragedy, it helps you sort your priorities out very quickly. when death descends and the end comes, you turn your gaze to what's left. i have several sub-psychotic fits, many on this very blog, about the lingering impact of being rejected by someone once close to me but there's more to me than millennial angst. there are moments i have at work, speaking to people or even just tapping some digi-letters on my phone that a part of my mind ignites, like a neurological blaze. expression and creation - i was born for these. finding a captivating way of providing meaningful insight into what my reality looks like is my equivalent of discovering, pardon me, re-discovering a new element. a design writes itself out in my head and i make associations with everything i can possibly remember, relevant to the topic. i try not to think of the idea in my mind but my mind in the idea; understanding things from the jump completes half your work.   i sup...
